We had a great Labor Day weekend! There was so much going on; we were out and about with friends and spent some quality time at home. We are very fortunate that Barrett is such a good baby and we have been able to get out. I hear some women tell me they didn't leave the house for months. We don't have that problem with our Baby B, he likes to get out and be sociable.
We BBQ'd at Susan and Jack's in true three day weekend fashion. Aidymar and James joined us, and we had a good time playing with Max. We also took our first walk forward facing in our Bjorn now that I can hold my head up.
We were supposed to spend Labor Day at Barrett's first Giants game with Lori. Sadly, we canceled our day trip. I am not sure who's genius idea it was to close the Bay Bridge over the holiday weekend but it really cramped our style. Saturday I went into the city alone and it took me 2 1/2 hours and we didn't want to keep Barrett in the car that long. This is our second failed attempt to attend a game and I'm afraid we won't be able to get one in this season. Next year we will make it happen. I did buy Mr. B an outfit, so I had to put him in it before he outgrows it. At least I got this shot...

My Visitors from the North
Huong and Morgan were down from Seattle for a visit over Labor Day weekend so they stopped by for a visit and to meet Barrett. We spent the afternoon at our house catching up and paying way too much attention to our spoiled Mr. B. He really took advantage of Huong and the fact that she could have held him all day...because she practically did.

CC's Shower
Baby Mauch is on his way in about 10 weeks so it was time to shower CC with gifts to prepare for their new little boy. Angie and Mary (and Mary's cat Ed - so friendly) hosted CC's shower at Mary's house in the city on September 5. I arrived fashionably late (an hour) thanks to the Bay Bridge closure but still arrived in time to see CC open all of her cute gifts. So many adorable outfits, Baby Mauch's first hiking boots, and all the baby neccessities.
Mary and Angie tested my creativity for the shower. We were all supposed to make a 3"x3" quilt square that will be used in a keepsake quilt for CC and Baby Mauch. I was pretty nervous about this as I can barely reattach a button to a shirt, but they have some pretty 'crafty' things out there. CC, I hope you and Baby Mauch like my squares!
Oh there was definitely a baby itch at the shower; there were four pregnant women, two new first time moms, seasoned moms, and baby Elizabeth. That would get any expectant mom excited for what is ahead. We are very excited to meet Baby Mauch, whose name will remain a mystery until his arrival. I keep trying to guess, but I haven't figured it out yet and I don't think CC would tell me if I guessed right anyway.

Push-a-versary
Unfortunate for Jeff, all he got for our anniversary was a card and a shout out on our blog. I am a bad wife and did not get him the Harley he was so wishing for. He did surprise me with both my push present for Barrett and anniversary gift that we have coined my 'push-a-versary' gift. A gorgeous ring with diamond and ruby stones. Ruby is Barrett's birthstone.
I love my ring, thank you, honey!
Happy Anniversary!
I have been filling out Barrett's baby book and there is a section about Mommy and about Daddy and our story so I have been thinking a lot about the history of Jeff and Linsey lately. We have had 8 amazing years together, full of happy memories and new experiences. I am truly blessed to have Jeff in my life. He is a kind, generous, loving husband and now father!
Here is to the last four years and many more to come!
'i will keep calling you to see...
if you're sleepin are you dreamin, if you're dreamin are you dreamin of me
i cant believe, you actually picked...me'

Thank you Mimi and Papa
Melissa and I were able to enjoy a day at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn Spa thanks to Mimi and Papa. We dropped Barrett, Tatum, and Landon at Melissa's parents (aka Mimi and Papa) and spent the next few hours pampering ourselves.
It was a mini daycare at Mimi and Papa's, with travel swings, bassinets, and diaper stations. The two newborns did what they do best - ate and slept; and Landon spent the afternoon in his pool. Mimi is a kiddie lover, so she was in heaven. Papa loves them too, but he did have a couple of complaints...he had to change clothes two times. He didn't 'keep it covered' when he changed Barrett's diaper and got a little shower, and then Tatum had a little accident on him as well. Poor papa, he was a good sport about it all.
I wish I would have taken a few shots of our babysitters but I totally forgot to break out my camera. So sad!
Thank you again Bonnie and Ron. I really appreciate it.

Couch Riders
That concert the night before really wore my Daddy out and I am not opposed to sleeping all day either so yesterday we were couch riders...even my kitty Puddy stretched out and napped next to us.

San Francisco's Outside Lands Festival
It takes a guy like Eddie Vedder to pull my away from my new Baby B!
In June I heard Pearl Jam was coming through town playing at San Francisco's Outside Lands Festival on August 28th. I really wanted to see them but I knew Baby Rosenlund was on the way and would only be a little over a month old (if he was going to come on time). Could we take him in the Bjorn? Would he be a Pearl Jam fan? Would he get high from all the pot smoke? These questions filled my brain. I didn't know how it would all work but I bought two tickets anyway...just in case.
Carlos and Melissa saved the day and offered to babysit Barrett so we could go. Thank you, thank you!!
It was a GORGEOUS day and night in the city. 80s during the day, light sweater at night. We even saw stars that night as we looked up at the sky from beautiful Golden Gate Park (no, it was not the pot smoke...they were real stars)! CC and Justin had bought tickets too so we had some company. We caught Incubus at 6pm (great show too!), grabbed some 'Let's be Franks' and a couple of beers and then Eddie came out and sang to me. Jeff had been at the same park 15 years ago when Pearl Jam played and Eddie got food poisoning and cut the set short while Neil Young filled in for them - boo! No disappointed Jeff that night, they played the two hours and we loved it! I guess Jeff was a little disappointed that they didn't play his favorite, 'Once' but he just had a few beers and sang it to Justin and CC himself!
PS Check out the guy with the awesome mullet behind me in the first picture...YES!

Adventures in Babysitting
Mommy had bought tickets to San Francisco's Outside Lands Festival before I was even born. She really wanted to go see Pearl Jam. When she bought the tickets they weren't sure what they were going to do with me, but Mommy said worst case Daddy stays home and she goes to the concert ;) Lucky for Daddy, Auntie Lissa and Uncle Carlos are the best friends in the world and they offered to babysit me for a few hours. It was really convenient since the concert was just a mile or so away. I could even hear the music from Auntie Melissa's house.
I was a pretty good baby, but I could have been better... I was rocking in the 'dualy swings' with Tatum when Mommy and Daddy left. Then I got hungry; Uncle Carlos fed me part of my bottle but I wasn't eating as well as I should, only 2oz of my normal 5oz. That guy didn't look like my Daddy so I wasn't sure about this whole mealtime situation. I was also probably a little sleepy, but then I didn't want to go back to bed. Uncle Carlos was very good to me and rocked me, swung me, carried me, etc until I finally fell back asleep. The next thing I know my Daddy is taking out of my carseat and I am back at home!

Miss Tatum is 2 Months Old
Our little Tatum Sanchez is 2 months old. She is growing big, talking, and smiling for Uncle Jeff. She had some tough first weeks with her tummy and she put her Mommy and Daddy through a lot, but we think that has passed now.
It has been really great watching her these last few weeks. She is my guideline :) I know as she develops that in a few weeks Barrett will be doing the same thing.

Binky Training

Turkey Time
We have been having some guests in our backyard lately, our family of turkeys. They are right outside of our gate each morning when we get up along with the other neighborhood animals we see on a regular basis...the jackrabbits, ground squirrels, quail, turkey vultures, etc. Barrett can't see them yet, but when he is able does that count as a trip to the zoo?
Lunch with CC and Justin
What a busy weekend for us...nonstop Saturday and Sunday. We are so very lucky to have a good baby so we can get out and continue to do all of these things. Sunday we met CC and Justin for lunch in Walnut Creek at Va de Vi.
At 28 weeks Baby Mauch makes a perfect resting spot for Barrett...
This picture says in all. CC and I carry the children, feed the children, binkie the children, and Jeff and Justin drink wine. Need I say more...

A Visit to Uncle Kevin/Aunt Patty's New Apt
Another visit from Grandma Sharon on Saturday. She stopped by before we went over to Uncle Kevin and Aunt Patty's new apartment. They just moved to Pleasanton so they are practically our neighbors now. We went over to check out their new place and see Aunt Patty's new engagment ring...gorgeous. Too bad I am too little to be a ring bearer.
Daddy showed Aunt Patty how to 'binkie me.' She was great. We figure that is all the training they need, they are now prepared to babysit. How convenient they are now just 10 min. away.

Amelia's 1st Birthday Party!
Saturday was Amelia's 1st birthday party. This was the second birthday party I attended in my 5 short weeks of life (I went to Rocco's 1st birthday party when I was just 16 days old). Amelia was so cute! I was pretty jealous of her BIG birthday cupcake, but I am still on mommy's milk only so I only get cake second hand. Amelia was a perfect little lady and picked at her cake so she didn't mess her birthday outfit.
I met a lot of people at the party for the first time, Erin, Sean, Amelia, Taylor, Nate, Jett, Raliegh, Lindsay, Eric...etc. And I got to spend more time with Melissa, Carlos, Landon, and Baby Tatum. Everyone had a lot of fun in the sunny East Bay.
Daddy tried to tell me it was a party and it was ok to have a drink. I learned from my mommy, 'Just say NO' I'm too young.
